What To Do In Asheville In Winter

Fall is soon to give in to winter here in the mountains of Western North Carolina, but that doesn't mean that there aren't plenty of things to do and see in Asheville! We can't discredit the explosion of colors that the fall has to offer to but the winter wonderland that follows it is just as breathtaking. Enjoy the Russian Nutcracker Ballet or tour the Biltmore House by candlelight. Swing by the Arboretum or the WNC Ag Center for spectacular light shows. Enjoy a look back in time with a victorian Christmas at the Smith-McDowell House. You can even take a ride on the Polar Express thanks to the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad.  Add to these events with many local arts and crafts shows as well as holiday parades. We recommend checking out Romantic Asheville for a complete list of activities!
