Ooohing and AAhhing at all the spectacular homes there are out there is fun and entertaining. Well, earlier this year Forbes put out a list in conjunction with Trulia of The Most Expensive Homes in the US are. If you're curious and want to look at the whole list you can follow the link here, but we've summed up some of the most interesting on it--as well as the local winner--for your enjoyment.

935 Hillsboro Mile, Hillsboro, Florida coming in at $159 Million
This Beaux Arts-style home has 47,774 of indoor livable square feet and 18,834 outdoor space. It boasts 19 bedrooms and 21 bathrooms. Seems like plenty of space for entertaining.
The Least Expensive of the Most Expensive Homes in the US is:
322 Sunset Bay Road, Bottineau, North Dakota coming in at $2.75 Million (updated since list was initially published)
This custom built home on Lake Metigoshe is 6,300 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms on a 1 acre lot. Even the bottom of the list room for the family.
The House with the LEAST Square Footage but MOST Acreage of the Most Expensive Homes in the US is:
6661 SW Three Springs Ranch Road, Powell Butte, Oregon coming in at $25 Million
This Oregon ranch style home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2,244 square feet of living space sitting on 7,500 acres of EFU Land. I guess it's a safe bet that you're paying for all that farm land with this one.
The House with the LEAST Acreage of the Most Expensive Homes in the US is:
834 Fifth Avenue, Apt 7/8A, New York, New York coming at $120 Million
John Gutfreund's ("The King of Wall Street") duplex in Manhattan's Upper East Side has 7 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, and 12,000 square feet at one of the most prestigious addresses in New York City on virtually no acreage.

234 Skycliff Drive, Asheville, North Carolina falls at #21 Most Expensive Home in the US (updated since list was initially published) coming in at $11.95 Million
